Dr. Swindell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2010 from University of Maryland Baltimore County in Catonsville, MD. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. While at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Swindell was involved in National Optometric Student Association and was a founding member of the reconstitution of the Pennsylvania Optometric Student Association mentored by the Pennsylvania Optometric Association Bucks-Montgomery local society. Dr. Swindell continues to be a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association Chester County Delaware Society. She is a strong believer that the key to success for any treatment or care of her patients lies in her patients being well educated about their eye conditions and options for treatment. This helps to develop a trusting relationship leading to better outcomes of care. While Dr. Swindell enjoys working with all ages and performing comprehensive eye examinations, she has an affinity for treating Dry Eye Syndrome, as she has had to battle with this issue with her own eyes. In her free time, Dr. Swindell loves to spend time with her young son and husband on family outings, read, sing, host social events, eat good food and listen to music. She is a huge advocate of life-long learning and always makes time to learn something new everyday.
